Jak koníka správně nauzdit
Správně osedlat a nauzdit koně je nutno se dobře naučit, stejně jako je třeba umět jej odstrojit. Koně můžete uzdit či sedlat buď již ve stáji, nebo až po vyvedení na dvůr. V tomto případě musí mít kůň nasazenou ohlávku, aby bylo možné ho bezpečně držet. Při nasazování uzdečky se chovejte tiše a klidně. Snažte se udržet přátelský kontakt s koněm. Výstroj před nasazením vždy důkladně zkontrolujte.
Uždění:
Nejdříve se musíte přesvědčit, zda nánosník a podhrdelník nesou zapnuty. Po přetažení otěže přes hlavu koni sundejte ohlávku, ale nechejte ji viset na krku. Je to důležité, neboť v případě potřeby můžete koně snadno přidržet.
1. Zasunutí udidla- Levý palec vložte koni do koutku huby (zvíře ji otevře) a šetrně zasuňte udidlo. Dejte si pozor, abyste koně neuhodili do zubů. Někteří koně jsou na uzdění tak zvyklí, že tlamu otevřou automaticky, když mu před ní udidlo dáte.
2. Přes uši- Nátylník přetáhněte za uši tak daleko, aby se nacházely v prostoru mezi nátylníkem a čelenkou. Tento úkon provádějte opatrně, kůň je uši zvlášť citlivý. Kštici přehoďte přes čelenku.
3. Upínání řemínků- Postupně zapněte nánosník a podhrdelník. Nesmějí být však utaženy příliš těsně. Pod řemeny by mělo být možné volně zasunout 2 prsty.

Sejmutí uzdečky:
Před sejmutím uzdečky na krk koně volně pověste ohlávku. Teprve potom rozepněte nánosník a podhrdelník. Jednou rukou uchopte otěže a nátylník a přetáhněte je směrem dopředu (před oči koně). Kůň sám uvolní stisk udidla, které potom snadno vytáhnete z tlamy. Znovu ale dbejte na to, abyste koně náhodou neuhodili do zubů.
